Absolutely delightful! I wasn't sure how well these moulds would work having bought previous moulds and being less than impressed. But this one works beautfully. Out of the package I made the onigiri below in about 5 minutes - first attempt. The nori (seaweed) sheet cutter comes with a silicone mat that you place the nori sheet onto then press the cutter against it.This helps the cutter to perforate and relatively easily cut the shapes. I had to help the arms out a little bit but otherwise it was fine. The mould itself is in three pieces, a front, mould holder and a back. You simply put the front into the holder, then fill with rice (make sure you use Japanese sticky rice and it helps to use freshly cooked rice as the steam will help it stick). Then push the back on the rice and - presto! you have a panda shape. The rest is just assembly. There are instructions on the inside of the package. Unsurprisingly, they are written in Japanese, but it is fully illustrated to you can figure it...

Brilliant fun! Makes lovely little pandas. Struggled with the instructions though, as they were in Japanese on the outside of the pack. A week after making the pandas for the first time, we discovered pictograms instructions on the inside of the pack! Just used our common sense and they were fun and easy

The mould was delivered quite quickly. It worked really well! It's easier to use cocktail sticks to secure the nori into position. It was such good value and really made the meal so much cuter.
