Puppy didn't like it at all, 22 July 2010

My Alaskan Malamute puppy didn't like the meat flavour Dentifresh Puppy and Kitten Toothpaste at all. I have no idea if it works or not because I could never get enough in his mouth to make a difference. I was lucky to get a few teeth done per sitting- and even that was a struggle. I replaced it with Virbac Enzymatic toothpaste (poultry) and he likes that MUCH better. I was able to brush all his teeth in one sitting without much trouble- so clearly it was that my puppy didn't like the toothpaste, not just that he didn't like having his teeth brushed. To add insult to injury, the Dentifresh comes in a smaller tube and costs quite a lot more. I'm not even going to try using the Dentifresh up. I'm cutting my losses and throwing the almost full tube away.
