These were perfect for my 18 month old granddaughter as her very own first set. The brush bristles are really soft but actually do work on her hair, the mirror effect is more of a fun touch and not real glass. The comb, as is the brush, is easy for her to hold and use and is not sharp nor does it scratch the skin.Excellent buy.
