I have used the wheat/rice heat packs before but prefer this type. The towelling is so soft and fine that the cherry pitts mould easily around your neck and shoulder area and the three sections keep the stones evenly distributed. If you want to hold it in a specific area, the stones seem to almost lock together. Good size and weight, washable too!

Whenever this item is heated it gives off a kind of rotting cherry smell which for me is not very conjusive to helping with relaxation. I'm hoping that over time the smell will wear off; on the plus side the cherry pips do make for a nice massage.
