I think this is better for toddlers - I bought to use on my six year old son but it's very short and in our case, pretty pointless. If you had a child in a highchair though, or a toddler, it would serve its purpose pretty well. My children now pretend it's a superhero cape

Have used on my 2 & 4 year old children while cutting hair. Neck opening is too large so I always clip it smaller with a laundry peg to prevent hair cuttings from going down their necks. I also find it a bit small in size overall. Does not cover their arms or fronts very much so hair still ends up all over their clothing.
