The cover feels very nice and soft and fits the standard single mattress perfectly. In fact, it's even a bit loose. I don't know if it'll make a difference to my son's asthma, but we thought it worth a try. Before putting the cover on, I sprayed the mattress with the bug killer spray (also ordered on Amazon), hovered it all with the UV vacuum (ordered at the same time) and then added the cover. I must say that my child has not woken up wheezing since he'd been sleeping in his 'new' bed.
