Conflicted but happy, 4 April 2015

Chose this due to the good rating it got on beautipedia.com combined with its natural and cruelty free branding and sunscreen at a very affordable price. Have to say I'm a little conflicted but overall very pleased. I have very dry flaky winter skin at the moment that becomes t-zone in summer.

The main problem for me is the VERY strong scent which I find strange in a natural branded product. However the scent is pleasant and does go away after a few minutes, also I haven't experienced any skin reaction to whatever fragrance is there. Unfortunately fragrances are known for being drying agents so this scent could be contributing to keeping my skin dry. Who knows??

Secondly it makes my eyes water, which hasn't happened with any other moisturiser before. This again could be due to the fragrance and it can re-occur randomly all day.

However I have had no rashes or reactions so it can't be too harsh.

I was only previously able to get this in the US. I was very glad to see it also available on Amazon UK. It's a wonderfully emollient cream without being greasy and is an economical size. The ingredients are ethical and make a difference to my ashy/dehydrated skin.Andalou uses good quality ingredients and my skin has never reacted to any of their products, (I have sensitive skin) a definite plus.

I love the Andalou products and really was hoping this would be perfect for me. I love the cream itself and how it feels on my face and how it makes my skin look. The problem for me is that it was making my eyes water continuously, even when I made sure I did not use it anywhere near my eyes. Obviously something in the product my eyes do not like. I tried it on four occasions hoping I would be able to use it, b ut no matter how I tried it my eyes continued to water. However, it seems to be fine for others.
