Good - but not amazing., 17 Aug. 2016

Bought this after realising that our angelcare audio-only monitor (we had the one that has the sensor pad, but we used it on audio only mode) just wasn't going to cut it for peace of mind.

I'll sort these into pros and cons

Pros:

- Nice simple to use parent unit

- Easy to set up - instructions are very clear

- screen is pretty clear. Not crystal HD which you'd get with a cheaper IP camera.. but it's good enough for what you want and is of a decent size.

- Infrared is decent enough quality also.

- zoom is handy and still clear.

Cons:

- Battery life isn't amazing, but then again it's a video unit so if you're going to have the screen on and continuous sound transmission etc. it's going to deplete quicker.

- Agree with other reviews, sound is definitely quieter than other models of Angelcare monitors. It doesn't render it useless, but it's not great.

- Have to charge 9 hours before first use.....sigh.

Excellent video quality and range, 5 Aug. 2016

We were among the many unfortunates who had purchased a Motorola MBP36S only to discover that after a few months the parent unit stops charging, rendering it useless (just take a look at the reviews to understand just how poor that product’s quality is).

So we unexpectedly found ourselves needing to buy a new video monitor. We ruled out any of the Motorola units on the grounds of shoddy quality. We also ruled out WiFi cameras as we often stay in places with poor connectivity. After a great deal of reviews research and deliberation we ended up buying this Angelcare 1320. We chose it over the older, cheaper Angelcare 1120 as that looked clunky and apparently has a smaller, worse quality screen. 24 hours after first use the 1320 is proving to be just the job.

It seems like all baby monitors have pros and cons. In the case of the 1320 it appeared that people had concerns that the volume isn’t loud enough and disliked that the camera can’t pan...

I would recommend, 16 Sept. 2016
It's a good product. Yes I'd agree with others that the sound can be louder but for us louder is not necessary. The battery drains much quicker than the sound-only monitor we used to have but we turn the video on to see and then off again. Design of the main unit can be improved by allowing it to flex forward but apart from that it's great. I would recommend.
