So so glad we bought this pillow as it really works. Bought it when my baby was 3 months old, he loved being on his back and hated being on his tummy. Never knew much about flathead as he's my 1st baby, so was distraught when I woke one morning and noticed his head was very flat. The pillow works instantly, within the 1st week I noticed a massive difference, also he is never on the back of his head unless we changing him, or he's sleeping (on his pillow). we've bought a carrier which he loves and we carry him and walk everywhere, as we are determined and are doing everything possible to get his head rounded. He is now 5 months and what a difference, his head is still not completely round but we are getting there. It looks 100 times better than before and people can't believe the difference!!! Def recommend if you worried about flathead but a big tip.......because the pillow has a hole, when he moves his head from side to side his ears fold over, so (sounds terrible) but we tape his...

Good pillow, but goes flat after some use!, 14 Jan. 2012
I noticed that my 3 month old baby was getting a flat spot on his head and bought a couple of other (much cheaper) pillows, none of which seemed to make any difference. This pillow is great - the baby stays put all night long, it appears to be comfortable, is soft and can be washed easily. Not sure whether it is solely due to the pillow, but my now 4 month old baby's head is looking much better and the flat spot is hardly noticeable! Will continue to use this pillow and chuck the other ones away....UPDATE - My baby is now 5 and a half months old and after using the pillow for over 2 months, it has gone very flat. Washing/drying it doesn't help. Although it is a good product, it is quite expensive and won't last you a very long time!

Perhaps like you, I looked at this and wondered: is this product really better, or does the price tag make it sound better? Well to be honest, it couldn't be simpler, and if you're in manufacturing there must be a killing to be made imitating this, as it probably costs under a pound to make - stitched cotton and standard pillow hollowfibre.

And I must say I haven't tried any of the cheaper ones.

But I can tell you, my son had severe 'flat-head' at four months. We hadn't been aware that this was common (frankly the NHS ought to order these by the million, they'd cost pennies and save them/parents a fortune later on) and were rather worried - what would it mean for his brain development etc? Why on earth had it happened, what had we done wrong? Everyone told us to avoid pillows for the first few months, after all. And our son just slept and slept, so spent very little time not on his mattress. By the time flat head developed, he would automatically put his head on one side,...
