This beautiful, pure, Soil Association certified organic, chemical-free henna powder is suitable for hair colouring. This henna is excellent for colouring hair as it is very finely sifted it has a smoother less gritty texture. It has a high lawsone content and gives a good strong colour. It is produced in Rajasthan, India. Within the foil packet the henna is in a vacuum sealed plastic bag so that it stays fresh. Henna will usually give brown hair red/brown undertones. Henna will give light coloured hair - grey, white or blonde a more orange/red tone. When henna is used with indigo for hair colouring it can give shades of different browns to black. The resulting colour depends on the method, how long you leave it on for and the proportion of henna and indigo used. There are several ways of combining henna with indigo. You can either mix the henna together with indigo and apply, or you can colour you hair first with henna and then colour your hair with indigo. The latter gives a stronger colour. This 100 gram packet is approximately enough to colour shoulder length hair. However it does depend how thick your hair is. Fine hair will need less henna and thick or very curly hair will need more henna. For mid back length hair you will need 2 x 100g packets.

This is the best thing ever. Im allergic to hair dye and am going grey. Everyone tells me to accept going grey but I dont want to because I dont want to look older than I am. Ive been allergic for years and get more upset as my grey hair gets worse because there's nothing I can do about it and then someone told me about this. I didnt think the henna would work because I've tried henna before but it didn't do much but this one was brill and made my greys red and added nice tones to my dark brown hair. I then used the indigo leaf and cant believe I have no grey hair anymore . I nearly passed out due to excitement . I cant believe it. Im so happy x

will never use chemical dye again, 25 Oct. 2013
so as the headline suggests i like this, my sister decided to put some horrific highlights in my hair which i hated and they turned a unslightly egg colour..sooo looking for an alternative i bought some henna waited a few months before attempting it as the bleached hair and henna do not combine well, first time turned out a bit green as it hadn't oxidised completely but after a couple of days was a deep brown, i mixed both henna and indigo for a dark brown, i have since then done 4 more applications and found that the highlights are no longer obvious and it covers the few greys i have, turns them a fiery red which is quite nice my hair is in such better condition i will continue to henna and i just began not using shampoo and conditioner slightly oily but hoping it will soon balance its self out..try henna at least once you will not use chemical dye again :)
