A worthwhile discovery!, 10 Sept. 2015

At last I have found a quality soap made in a decent sized bar!,the ridiculous mass produced short lived apologies for soap that one buys in supermarkets or drug stores really annoy me,they are small and useless after a week or so,they go soft and mushy far too quickly but these Scottish Fine Soaps!,well,they are hard,lather beautifully and smell much better than the cheap alternatives.I have no doubt that they will also last for months rather than a couple of weeks and at under £5 I consider that very good value.They come in a neat box,are wrapped in tissue paper and are obviously a quality product,the size of 300grams makes it substantial and worthwhile,try it,its a great product.

There isn't much to add to my previous review only to say that if you love a bar of soap this is the one. Yes, it's huge to hold but lasts me 4 months with daily use and the smell and lather is wonderful.

Great for shaving!, 23 May 2015

Surprisingly, this has made a great shaving soap! Even better when used with a proper shaving brush. It gives a great lather for a silky smooth shave. The smell is really nice, and quite subtle. The only thing I don't like about this soap is that I find it very drying for use as an all-over-body soap. But I find that happens with all soaps except Dove (which I don't buy for ethical reasons). I'm not sure why, maybe I just have a sensitive skin type.
