This concentrated anti-itch lotion provides fast, temporary relief of the itching and pain associated with many minor skin irritations such as poison ivy/oak/sumac, insect bites, and chicken pox rash. With calamine to dry up the weepy rashes, and with less water and more emollients, it won't run or drip like other ordinary calamine lotions. The creamy formula with skin-soothing natural colloidal oatmeal is non-greasy and invisible when rubbed into skin; it acts as an external analgesic and a skin protectant.

I have had a virus called Lichen Planus for the last year. It appears from nowhere & affects your feet & wrists & is extremely itchy. I have had steroid cream which keeps the condition from reaching a situation where it is too uncomfortable to walk. However, my sister was in the USA this summer & was bitten by insects & was given Aveeno which appears to calm skin reactions from insects/nettles & other plants that can give you an allergic reaction so she suggested that I I bought a bottle & can honestly say that my skin is 'quiet' & not driving me insane from itching 24 x 7. I was pleased to note that this cream can be used on kids over 2 yrs old. There is a significant percentage of Calamine in this cream plus the oatmeal which is used so much these days for eczema.

Experienced Genuine Itch-relief with this Product, 16 Feb. 2014

I have MS and use a FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) device to combat drop-foot and improve walking speed and balance. However, this device involves attaching 2 electrodes to outside of calf and front of shin, which sadly causes severe itchiness. Had used e45 cream on recommendation of clinician, but relief was very short-lived and I'd frequently need 3-4 applications to get through a night.After doing some research, I was more than happy to give this cream a try in the hope it would at least be a better alternative to what I was used to.Well, this has been an absolute blessing!! Since I started using this cream instead of the e45, I need to apply a much smaller amount to enjoy complete relief from itchiness for hours at a time instead of minutes.A real shame that the NHS clinicians never even mentioned this as a possible treatment. Looking forward to telling them that I found a much better alternative without their help !!

for people who have sensitive skin that itches at times, excellent product, sometimes I wake up and find I am scratching a particular area, I now rub thus lotion on and can settle back to sleep for the rest of the night - the bliss of getting nearly a full nights sleep, plus I don't need to take an antihistamine as this removes that constant irritation - an extra is that you don't need to use a lot of the lotion so it will last for a while
