These protectors really saved me a whole world of pain. I continued to use them through breastfeeding both of my children. They are light and discreet allowing for lots of skin to skin contact.A must through those difficult establishing days.

The best choice for nipple protectors/shields, 4 Aug. 2009
We switched to the Avent brand after having no success with Mothercare's own-brand nipple shields. These protectors do the job and have helped our baby to latch on to the breast very well. We would have given them a five-star rating if they had been a little more 'clingy' (try a dab of Vaseline on either side to help them stick to the skin) and if they had come in a case that could be sterilised.

These nipple shields are brilliant and saved us from stopping breast feeding. Why oh why do the mid wives not tell you about these products and let people carry on in agony. If breast feeding hurts then give them a go as they are a very small price for the instant relief that they provide.
