My daughter asked me to get her a bath thermometer for her new baby not really knowing what I was looking for I went on line to amazon which I use quite allot and looked through the baby thermometers when I saw the brightly coloured baby safe floating seahorse bath thermometer I decided to buy it my daughter just started to use it she tested it against an ordinary thermometer to see if the temperatures matched which they did and she says when the baby has a bath it wont keep its eyes off of the baby safe floating seahorse

We previously had an avent bath and room thermometer (the little blue flower shaped one) but we found it discoloured where it sat on the side of the bath in the damp. So I had a look for a different design and thought I would try this as it was reasonably priced and the reviews were ok. It is quite difficult to see the temperature as the markers are very small. Because of this I am not sure how accurate it is and also the temperature of the water when the thermometer says it is 37 degrees actually feels a lot cooler than the water did when we were using the avent one. It is fine for people with older babies as you get more confident with gauging how the water feels yourself and use a thermometer just as a guide but I know as a first time parent I wouldn't have wanted to rely on this thermometer when my daughter was newborn. It does a job but the quality is reflected in the price.

Does what it says on the tin! Cute little floating thermometer! A must have for obvious reasons! it is very robustly made and the water temperature is visible from both sides at a glance!
