Good thermometer but design could be improved, 23 Sept. 2017

What I do like about this product is that it can be used in water and also to test the air temperature of a room. Both functions appear to work well. I Particularly like the water function as it lights up a different colour according to the temperature. Red is too hot, blue is too cold, and green is the ideal temperature.The only criticisms I have are:1) when the thermolight is on air mode for room temperature the display is not backlit, this makes checking the temperature at night difficult. The advertising image is deceiving as it shows a blue backlight on both the water mode and air mode.2) The shape of the thermolight is odd, when I place the product on my bedside table is rolls on its side so the display is not the right way up.

If you buy one of these, make sure you fill the warranty paperwork. Our second one in 5 months has just stopped working. First one got wet internally, second one started giving funny temperature readings and turning off. They also roll off of anything you put them on, so the room temperature setting is pointless.

Not worth buying, 15 Jun. 2018

This is a really nice product when it works. I've only had mine a few months and it started to play up. The water would be cold and it would be saying the water is 40 degrees. Nice concept, but not worth £20.
