Using your Babasac is simple. Either keep the extra layers in to use as a 2.5 tog sleeping bag or unfasten each layer (using the zip and velcro) to use as a 1.0 tog bag. You can wash it with or without the layers in place. Baby sleeping bags are used by over 95% of UK parents on their babies. Your baby is kept at the right temperature all night long. Your baby will wake up warm and is therefore more likely to go back to sleep. They are safer than sheets and blankets as your baby cannot slip down inside a baby sleeping bag. Your baby's feet won't get stuck in the cot bars. It will help make the move from a Moses basket to a big cot much easier. When travelling or in new surroundings, your baby will always feel comfortable in their own sleeping bag. Your baby has freedom of movement. It is harder for your baby to climb out of their cot!

Babasac Multi Tog Baby Sleeping Bag, 9 Sept. 2012

The first thing that struck me with the Babasac is the print design. It's a striking cream with a navy star print for boys or pink hearts for girls. The material is of a high quality and the outer fabric and lining is made from 100% cotton. To change the sleeping bag from a 2.5 to a 1.0 tog you simply lift up the Velcro lining inside of the sleeping bag and unzip the panel from the inside. This turned the Babasac into a perfect summer/holiday sleeping bag. It felt lightweight but still maintained the soft and comfy lining that the 2.5 tog provided. Due to the hot weather we have been experiencing, the first night my baby used the Babasac I put him in the 1.0 tog. I dressed him in a vest, gave him his bedtime milk and then put him into his cot where I had laid out the Babasac. It was easy to get him into it and the sleeping bag zipped all the way around and the zip finishes at the bottom, which is a bonus if you need to do a night change! The sleeping bag has popper fasteners on the...

Brilliant new take on an old idea!, 2 Feb. 2013

For me, the great new thing about the Babasac is that it is multi-tog. It can be used either as a lightweight 1 tog bag, or, with its inner panels zipped in, a 2.5 tog vessel of cosiness. I was skeptical that this could be done securely but the neatly covered zips and industrial strength Velcro mean the panels aren't going to budge. You can't whip the panels in and out at speed but, quite frankly, if you could I wouldn't be impressed. When I first put my toddler into the bag I was a bit surprised to see that the shoulder fixings didn't have two fittings like most other sleeping bags do. However, my disappointment was offset by discovering the gently elasticated neckline. This design actually seems more comfortable than other bags where the tightest shoulder fitting can seem a bit too snug and the looser fitting leaves a gaping neckline. Another plus point of the Babasac is that the zip around the outside extends beyond the foot end and up the other side by a few inches. My boy's a...

Generally well made but poor design means I wouldn't buy again, 6 Sept. 2013

I bought these bags a few months ago and having been using them regularly - generally they're well made and I like the idea of being able to adjust the togs to suit the weather so I should get quite a lot of use out of it. However, I would have returned them and bought a different design if it hadn't been that I live overseas so it wasn't worth the return shipping costs. The main reason is that the zipper starts at the top instead of the bottom of the long zip down my baby's side. It sounds like such a little thing but it means that whenever I take my baby in or out of the sleeping bag I need to completely unzip the bag rather than just unzipping a few centimeters like I used to do on his previous bag. So with a wriggling baby who doesn't want to go to bed something which used to be done in a second has become quite a process. If your baby is happy to lie still while you find the ends of the zipper, connect them up and then zip all the way round then it'll be fine.
