Similar to other reviewers we have nephews and nieces that stay over, and this mattress must for the younger children, that said we have difficulty with our six year old nephew who refuses to sleep on the new bed, as in his own words he needs to sleep in a `proper bed' i.e. an adult single bed or anything larger! Our niece who is five has no such issues and is happy on this mattress in the cot. While the description about the mattress talks about an element of protection from liquid spills and other potential accidents we have been lucky that nothing has happened on that front. However, it is comfort to know that protection is there and that we are able to wash the covering when needed.

When selecting this product we liked the idea that it had hypo-allergenic materials in its construction as one of our nieces suffers from asthma. It's nice to have comfort in the knowledge that this item is covered by the latest health and safety regulations and standards of...

Excellent mattress, 18 April 2014

I was a bit dubious about buying a 'cheap' mattress, but really did not want to spend over a hundred pounds for one from a renown high street store. I read the reviews for this and it swayed me into making a purchase.Well what do you know - it is a really good mattress! And at such a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this!

Really Comfy. That's All That Matters In The End!, 18 Jun. 2013

Well the title says it all, this really is an incredibly comfortable mattress.

I got it for my grandson, he loves it, but I must admit that I've fell asleep on it once or twice myself.

It has a strange papery feel to the material used, this has the effects of helping to keep the mattress, and therefore bed, cool. I hate being too warm in bad and my little grandson seems to be the same and this really does help keep the temperature down a bit to ensure a comfortable good night's sleep.

There are no springs that poke through the material, a major problem with most brands of mattress and the whole thing comes surrounded by an edging using a zip mechanism, the mattress can be taken out of this edging for washing when necessary.

The edging, mentioned above, does have the effect of making the mattress waterproof for a time, very important when dealing with young children.
