A nice traditional wooden toy, 18 Oct. 2016

I bought this toy for my 12 month old Grandaughter, she is now getting into everything so I thought she would like this shape sorter. It's a traditional type wooden toy with various shapes that you push through the cutout holes into a box, it has a hinged lid with a hidden hinge.

The toy is all wood construction and the shaped blocks are all brightly painted, the box itself is just plain wood with no finish applied, on that point I cant help thinking that the wood ought to have been waxed or varnished to protect against little messy hands, after all this is meant for children and it will soon look awful because of the untreated wood.

There is no fancy box just a plain bag so dont expect a high level retail package.

At the end of the day something like this is all down to how our Grandaughter reacts to the toy and on this aspect our Grandaughter loved it, so I guess thats all that matter.

Would have been 5 stars if the wood had some kind of...

Very well made, lovely bright colours., 18 Oct. 2016

Excellent item.I received this item before the estimated delivery date, but only just, but that is not a worry because it's not wanted for a while. The wood is very good, no sharp edges, smoothed off with nothing for tiny hands and fingers to catch on.Lots of lovely bright different colours in the shapes, which, aswell, are finished off nicely. Will hopefully last for years to come. They fit well through the holes, and the hinge of the box lifts easily to get the blocks back out for the toddler to start all over again.I received this item at a discount in return for an honest and unbiased review, and I hope it will help anyone thinking of buying.I do say when I find problems with things or don't like certain aspects of them, or find faults.

Great for little hands., 3 Nov. 2016

Just what I wanted for my toddler. The shapes come in assorted colours and the frame along with the shapes are made of solid wood. The finishing is nice and smooth and just the right size for small hands to hold. Only one thing I would suggest as improvement I'd maybe a latch on the side that opens as all the shapes fall out again when she holds it high or pushes it around. Apart from that really happy with the purchase.
