Well worth it even if it's just for the laughs!, 16 Dec. 2011
This product is amazing. My best friend and I did it while I was 38 weeks pregnant. We laughed so much she was worried that I would go into labour! You definitely need a helper to apply the plaster and as long as you follow the instructions the cast is very easy to remove (It comes away from your skin as it starts to dry) We found that cutting smaller strips was easier and that if you leave a few strips once you have done the cast you can reinforce any areas that need it once it is dry.The cast looks brilliant painted and it is bizzare holding it up against yourself once you have had your baby to see how big you were!Brilliant absolutely brilliant!

Baby Art Belly Kit - waste of money, 16 Mar. 2010

Complete waste of time and money. Firstly the instructions are poorly translated from English with a couple of parts a little hard to decipher, and personally I don't call my breasts udders .....But the worst part is that they say that it is easy and so I attempted it on my own as it was going to be a surprise for my husband. You dip bandages into water and they very quickly get twisted up and become difficult to unravel. After literally 5 minutes the bandages already on my belly started to dry and they then lost their grip on my skin. I had started in a kneeling position but ended up standing up because I needed to be on the exact level with the water as any bending made the bandages come out of place. I was then in the position of needed to hold the cast to my belly with one hand and dip the bandages with the other - impossible. I persevered even though it was looking rubbish, and after waiting the 15 minutes recommended for it to dry, I took it off and it promptly broke in...

Messy, but worth 40 minutes of time for a good keepsake., 20 Sept. 2014

Despite what the instructions say, you need two people to do this!!

It's a good idea to measure the strips before you apply any water - again ignore the instructions and measure by hand as it's just easier.

When ready, make sure you have plenty of water on hand, and make sure you wet the strips completely - it's best to do at least two strips all the way over, and I'd also suggest an extra strip near the edges of the cast to add strength once dried. But before you start, make sure you've prepared the surface area (ie the pregnant lady!) with lots of vaseline or similar - this allows you to remove the cast once completed and it's a mare to get off when you missed a bit.

There is plenty of plaster bandages so loads left over, but as soon as you start then it begins to dry in about 15 minutes so be quick! It's very messy when doing it so make sure you've plenty of towels down or it will get everywhere. You'll also get it all over your hands. Prise it off...
