Everything you need in one changing bag, 12 Jun. 2011

As a mum of two (a toddler and a newborn) I've used quite a few different changing bags - some were good and some were just useless. When I had my son my recuirements for a changing bag changed also. The normal messenger type changing bag was not fulfillying my needs anymore and I needed something more versatile. I was very exicted when I saw the Babymule baby changing bag - it seemed to be the solution for all my needs.

It has two main compartments (one slightly bigger than the other) which provide you with enough space for everything you need. The bigger main compartment has a little pocket with a zip and an elasticated mesh pocket (big enough for 5-6 nappies). It also holds a separate changing pouch with a changing mat - I found it really useful as when I popped out only for an hour that's all I took with me. The smaller main compartment is perfect for spare clothes or snacks.

There has clearly been a lot of thought and experience that has gone into this design. It is big enough to fit in everything I need for both my newborn and toddler but somehow it manages to be the size of a normal bag. The different compartments mean that I can find anything I need quickly with no fuss. The varied straps are a big plus as it's easy to use whilst also using a sling for the baby, and it clips onto the pram handle too. This is definitely the best changing bag I have used. The fabric is also wipe clean and it appears to have a good sturdy construction. It is pricey, but I think given the amount of use it is getting and will get I think it's worth it.

Nice idea but several annoying design issues, 26 July 2014

I read several reviews before going for this bag and they were mixed. In the end I went for it as I liked the flexible multi-use of the bag and it's capacity.

It does have plenty of internal space for all sorts of baby-essentials. However, for the woping price paid (£84) I was quite disappointed with some of the design/quality. The zip tabs were fraying and I had to take a lighter to the ends to 'seal' them and stop them fraying completely. But the main issues all seem to be with the clips/clasps. The shoulder strap (when in messenger mode) has metal clips which grind on the metal hoops. no big deal you may think, but the noise of this squeaky grind travels up the strap and is right in your ear! Strange but true. My husband had to adapt the clips by adding rubber.

Also the clips on the loops for hanging the bag off the pushchair (mode number 2) are badly positioned. They are right in the middle of the loop, so when attaching to the pushchair the bag is hanging on the clasp...
