My wife and I help to run the local sling library and often get asked to comment on the stretchy wraps and slings available on Amazon. With the wide variety of brands we can usually only say that we don't know. So we were excited to test the BabyCakes baby carrier and overall we were impressed with what you get for your money. The product arrived promptly in attractive packaging and felt as good quality as some more expensive wraps. the only negatives I could find were that it wasn't clear, even for experienced baby wearers which side was meant to be against the baby, the smooth side or the textured on, although I am sure either way is fine.
FYI his is a one way stretch wrap meaning while the carry detailed in the instructions (both on the box and on paper inside) is possible it is a lot easier and more secure to do a woven wrap style carry ([...]). This is the carry pictured on the front of the box

I have used one of the lie down baby carriers, and one of the fixed sitting up baby carriers, but when I saw this product at a reasonable price I was excited to see how it compared to my other two carriers. My lie down baby carrier was great until my son got older and didn't want to be lying down all the time, it was also a bit bulky to carry around. The other Fixed sitting up one was great but again a bit bulky.
I love this character as you can both lie baby down or sit him up in it. I was a bit perplexed by the instructions (I always am to be fair with most instructions) so I watched a YouTube tutorial and was away. My baby felt secure and comfy in it. In fact, he cried when I took him out of it!! I also noticed that it sat him up nice and straight so he burped a few times in this even though he hadn't had a feed in a little while. I think it would be great for a Baby with reflux!!

The box contains the baby wrap rolled inside its own storage bag made of the same fabric.
Mine was purchased for a young couple who have just had their first baby, this can not only be used in a variety of ways to keep baby closely wrapped to either mum or dad, but also used as a drape for breast feeding. Or as a wrap/blanket, its 95% cotton 5% spandex, and fully washable.
