 The photo album:

This is a charming photo album; you can store all those `treasured' photographs. As you get 32 sleeve sections to insert your photos this probably won't be a definitive album, but as other reviewers have commented this album is more of a small `keep sake' for a grandparent, a parent that wants to have a small set of photos of the baby while away from home or pictures of special event of the young child. The album seems well made and functional

 Keepsake Book:

Great for journaling and recording memories of your baby of your child's first birthday, and you can record all information for when they are older. This is a nicely padded book, which has the feel of a good hard back. The pages are nice and crisp, ready for the parent to added written notes - it feels like quality.

The items in this set are, on the whole, very nice. The squeaky teddy is very cute and has been added to an ever-growing collection of "noise toys", and the fold out blanket is beautifully soft - as it easily turns back into a teddy it's perfect for travelling. The keepsake book is beautifully designed and feels expensive, with lots of space to record baby's details and slots for important documents. The matching 6"x4" photo album is also very nice, but only has space for 36 photos - that will soon get filled! The birth certificate holder lets the side down a little - it's nicely printed, but is still just a rectangular cardboard box.

All told, this is a really nice gift set. So why not 5 stars? Well, I received the item as a review product and was disappointed to find that all the items were dropped loose into a scruffy-looking plain brown box - no decoration, and no packing inside the box to protect the items. This is a really delightful gift set that would make an excellent gift for expexting parents. Individually the items are all very good.The soft toy is very cute and actually opens up into a blanket (think of a kangaroo's pouch attached with Velcro!) which I thought was a neat idea.The photo album won't hold hundreds of photos but holds enough to be a lovely keepsake, and there's also a great little book for parents to fill in too. Things are finished with a box to house birth certificate. All the items are great on their own and make a lovely package.The one drawback is the packaging. Or the lack of it. It might be saving the planet to ship it in an unmarked cardboard box but if you're giving it as a gift it doesn't look the best, however you wrap it. Still its a great set of items and the lack of packaging is no problem if you're keeping it for your own arrival.
