I had in the past used a bulb aspirator and found this little help when baby had snotty nose as it was so fiddly and needed several attempts.. However, this bit of kit is the best thing I have used. It seems unhygenic but its got a filter (which you can wash fine in soapy water - thats what I do and it drys and goes back together no probs - see no reason why you would need replacements as per other reviewers comments)and you do not get anything back in your mouth at all. Its so satisfying to remove loads of snot (sorry too much info!)and you can see this in the clear casing. Its instant and easy to use. As for the cord being too long and causing probs - yes baby does start to grab for it as they get older, but its not dangerous or anything - its just a case of holding little hands out of the way - as you would need to for most things once they start to get a bit more independent!!!

Additionally may seem pricey - but I got mine for £7 in Boots and considering it seen lots of...

Our LO is only 4 weeks old and is struggling to breath due to a build up of very dry crusty bogies deep up his nose. Saline drops help soften them but do not clear them. The nasal aspirator removes them easily and enables him to breath more easily. It's a brilliant product and is very easy to use and our LO didn't mind it either.

Pretty useless, 28 Oct. 2013

I found this pretty useless to be honest. The suck isn't great and you have to really suck hard to get any effect! It was quite annoying when you get nothing down and upset your child! Would not reccommend this type of aspirator
