Not quite large enough but helps to a large extent, 9 Dec. 2010
I was shocked when I saw our (rented) apartment oven had no insulation. So if you're cooking, it gets burning hot to the touch right at the height level of babies. This was the only oven guard we could find online. Even though it expands, it is not quite big enough to cover a medium-sized oven. We placed it strategically to cover the area where our baby's hands would likely be if standing up, and she hasn't burned herself yet. One plus is its magnetic. She likes rearranging all the magnets there when we're not cooking.

Flawed design - not baby safe at all, 2 Nov. 2012
I have received two of these now and both times the screws to mount the door on the adhesive fixing will not fit through the drilled holes. Its a simple issue of either the screws are too big or the holes are too small, the replacement guard has proven this. If I mounted this it would mean that the screws would protrude 5mm and that means that a baby could pull on a loose screw and possibly swallow itw. This product is not baby safe and the manufacturer seriuosly needs to review its quality control on this one. I'm going to see if the Clevamama one is any better.

Easy to install but although the item extends horizontally to ..., 15 Sept. 2014
Easy to install but although the item extends horizontally to fit the oven door it doesn't extend vertically meaning that on a large oven door the entire surface is not covered. Otherwise a good product though
