There seems to be a general lack of window locks on the market for UPVC windows which can be fitted after with window is installed, despite the obvious hazard for small children. This lock does the job, but is not very robust. It does not come with screws and some improvisation is needed, and a bit of nerve to drive screw through a UPVC window frame. When in place it serves more a deterrent than a physical barrier. The manufacturer really should invest in a better design.

CHEAP PLASTIC/waste of time, 24 May 2012

their are alot more sturdier versions on the market it may be cheap and just about do the job but that really isnt good enough for me ordered a different design made from steel as i wanted my daughters bedroom window to be 100% safe this is too flimsy and made of cheap plastic waste of time....

Once we worked out how to fit it, as instructions weren't that easy to understand, it was quick and easy to fit. It does what its meant to. I think it would be quite easy to open if the window was pushed to hard, but its a good prevention
