I love my extra tall baby gate and extension, though the closing mechanism is not as good as the Lindam gates. You have to be so careful to close it properly by pushing it down and locking into place...the Lindam ones are fool proof with a clip lock mechanism and so much faster to close.

This is very easy to add to an existing gate, without losing any strength or pressure.Would recommend for use on top and bottom of stairs.
