great cover for newborn size, haven't used it but considerably smaller than the size1 sold by bambino on their webpage. If you need a trim fit on a small newborn this cover will do the trick over muslin squares, pre folded or bamboo inserts. One of my best purchases for cloth diapering

Not needed grow out too quick and the Velcro strip digs into tummy rubbing the umbilical cord!
