Long story short, we have been trying and failing to potty train our son, who has autism, for over 2 years (he is now 4). We ordered these in white, so they would look and feel like a nappy, an he bought it straight away! so far he has made more progress in 1 week of wearing these than the last 2 years of ripping our hair out trying everything and anything! It gives him the comfort of feeling he has a nappy on but still lets him feel wet so he can tell us if he has had an accident or needs to go to the toilet. He is now almost 80% toilet trained and we are hoping he will be fully trained by the new year. I cannot recommend these enough, the only problem is that now we need to get him out of these in to regular underwear, which he just isn't allowing, so we might have to invest in some more (although a bit pricey)

In terms of functionality these are as expected but in terms of quality, these aren't great. Size 2-3 yrs old is about 2" wider than the mothercare version and these have a lot of spare fabric in the front of the crotch - they seem to be shaped more for boys bits than girls. The padded area is also thinner than the mothercare version. They do as expected though - if my girl has any dribbles it gives her time to realise she's wet and needs the potty. They are not meant to replace nappies or hold any more than a squirt - they are just meant to give the kid chance to realise they need the loo. They are terry towelling on the inside and don't have a crinkly plastic layer which is why they aren't waterproof. They've gone through the washing machine and dryer fine.

Great cloth training pants, 18 Nov. 2017

Absorbent training pants for toddlers and young children...The largest size still fits my 7-y.o., even though he is not scrawny (but not heavy either).They will not totally contain leaks, but will minimize damage.. After all, what you want is for the child to "feel" the wetness and encourage them to use the toilet..These have no plastic lining, to be clear.
