The Bambinos Tidy Table Tray is an innovative way to bring babies, toddlers, and little kids to the table, making meal time more fun for children, and easier for parents. It clips easily to tables, features an easy on/off insert, and has an extending lip to catch spills. The Tidy Table Tray is BPA free, and has a spill catch lip which ergonomically moulds to a child's body, while catching lap spills that fall between the child and the table. It protects tables, floors, clothes and reduces laundry loads (and need for bibs) too. The Tidy Table Tray invites young children to eat with parents and other family members, while giving them a special place at the big table just for them. The tray also has interactive locations for cups, spoons and forks, so that as your child grows she can learn that different things go in different places. The base tray allows for meal time to become craft or play time after eating is over. Parents can make one trip to the table instead of setting of several, setting up everything in the kitchen for meal time on the removable insert. When the meal is over, the insert tray is simply lifted out and brought back to the kitchen for easy clean up (either under the tap or in the dishwasher). The tray is held onto the table with a firm clip that fastens in seconds to the rim of tables (up to 2" thick), and was engineered with baby in mind. Bambinos! I may just have had one that slipped through the quality control process but in general this is not a great product.
The edges where the green tray clips in are sharp and unfinished, as are the one of the tray itself (my daughter grazed her hand within minutes of being in front of it) there were white plastic flakes come away from all of the white part of the tray, basically it looked like it was an unfinished product or used and it appeared dirty when we took it out of the box.
The lip on the green tray that is supposed to help stop food going on the floor and on the child (a bit like a built in bib) is way too high and looks like it would do more harm than good. The actual clip that fixes the tray to the table gets in the way of the high chairs bar so the chair is to far away for the tray to be effective. As for the fit, well it looks great on the straight edged table but isn't compatible with a round table and any pressure on either edge of the tray when its on a round...
