I've been on the search for a replacement for the now discontinued Crude Clay from Sebastien (thanks you morons you really screwed many of us over with your "we know better" attitude) and my bathroom drawer is full to the brim with countless tried and discarded hair potions (actually I've 16 different jars sitting there, gathering dust and reminding me of hairstyles gone wonky) which have left my thick, slightly curly, medium length hair naked and lost for matte ungreasy hold.
Well I'd even started trying to buy the ingredients that Crude Clay listed in the vain hope of making my own, such was my sense of deep personal loss.
I bought this lovely pomade (sounds really daft but hey, if it works...) and have been using it on wet hair for the last 5-6 weeks. It doesn't hold wet hair quite as well as the Crude Clay but the end result is lighter and has almost the same level of matte finish and shine. I haven't used it on dry hair as I only use after a good, hard shower...
