This is a top quality baby carrier that is so versatile. Babies and toddlers are able to be carried in a wide variety of comfortable positions, at the front and back of the parent/carer and also at the side, seated around the hip.

This particular carrier has an integral solid hip seat, well padded and filled with carved polystyrene for lightness. The hip seat section can be unzipped and used separately from the main carrier.

Friends who have visited Asia tell me that this type of hip seat carrier is used widely there for older babies and toddlers, rather than buggies which are not practical on crowded streets and public transport.

The hip seat means that this carrier can be used long beyond the usual 3 to 24 months lifespan of most carriers, being suitable for children up to 3 years of age. The maximum recommended weight is 20kg; only a very, very small percentage of boys and girls are above this weight at 2 years of age and many three year olds will be less...

This is a very nice baby carrier. It is well made with a soft covering and comfortable, easily adjustable straps. The material can be ‘sponged’ in the event spills and does not mark excessively; at least the blue material does not.The unit has a solid seat which can be removed from the carrier and used separately. The solid seat means that the carrier can be used for larger children up to 20kg, whereas those without a solid seat are often only suitable for small children. Even with a large child in the carrier it feels both safe to use and comfortable to carry.The carrier has a pocket for small items. It is big enough for a wallet or mobile phone but unfortunately not for a full pack of baby wipes, at least not the rectangular packs we buy. A half pack of less however will fit.Overall good quality and well designed item.Please note I was provided with a complimentary product in order to write this review.

this is a fantastic carrier - I opted for a carrier with a hip seat to carry my 15 month old about as her first carrier was really starting to hurt my sholders - this is fantastic - it reall helps distribute the weight, so both mum and daughter are comfortable
