I would mostly agree with the reviews from Amazon.com below as my experience of the Beco Soleil is VERY different to the UK post dated 21st October 2013.

I also purchased the Beco Soleil to use with a baby of 6-months (my little boy) and while he may be more `robust' than the last reviewers young baby, in my experience the Beco Soleil is incredibly comfortable even now in back carry position with a chunky 12-month old baby boy! I used cross-straps for front carry position and now that I've graduated to back carries, I wear rucksack taking advantage of the Beco `Daas' system (additional buckle adjustments) on the shoulder straps to ensure a snug fit.

I've not used with a newborn and you do have the additional investment of the infant insert but even then the carrier seems like a decent investment as I would anticipate using for at least another 2 years or more not forgetting the great accessories (I have the carry-all) and the gorgeous legs out padding for...

I got this after my big 8 month old boy got to big for his old carrier, wishi got this from birth, I have only used it for 1 month and find it amazing, and so does my boy, I have yet to do back carry, but so far I love it x

Very comfortable for both my son and I. When we go out he is usually asleep in a matter of minutes and I can carry him for long stretches without really feeling the weight.
