This is made from a beautifully soft material, which feel very nice against the skin. My grandson is very dribbly while he's teething and this did a good job of absorbing the dibble with no seeping through to either his clothes or skin underneath. Initially it seemed very good at wicking the moister away from his chin - however there must be a limit because eventually the top layer was staying damp. But then like I said, he is VERY dribbly!Does it work any better than a usual bib of this style? Yes, in terms of staying dried for longer next to the skin it does, and it's a lot softer against the skin too. Is it worth the extra cost? Debatable....I think it's is expensive for what it is in comparison to similar products. You may do just as well to buy several cheaper ones (which can be bought in sets) and just change them more frequently.

This is such a sweet and practical little item.

It's not a bib for mealtimes, but one that has real value when a child is teething and dribbling or regurgitating small amounts.

If you have dressed up your child to take them out and about, or for a special occasion, swamping them in terry towelling or muslin to keep clothes clean may make you wonder if it was worth the effort. This bib adds a stylish little touch to an outfit.

The bib is smaller than you'd think from these illustrations - I was expecting something that covered the front of a baby, it's actually quite a neat little neckerchief design. The folds provide plenty of extra surface area to absorb and mop up dribbles.

The supersoft fabric won't chafe delicate skin around the neck, even the velcro closure has been made much softer than usual, so that when the surface is next to the skin it won't irritate. The waterproof backing is also made of the same synthetic fabric, no more plastic...

My son is currently teething and I am going through bibs almost faster than I can wash and dry them lolFirst impressions of this bib is that it is well made and very comfy. Sits securely around the neck with an adjustable Velcro fastening which is good.The ruffled design means there is more material to soak up dribble compared to a flat piece and the waterproof back keeps the dribble off the neck and chest which works well to help minimise rashes.Overall a good quality bib that does the job well.
