Lovely toy while it lasted, 27 Sept. 2011
Bought this for my 3 year old son and he loved it, but after about 6 months the insides all fell apart and we can't see a way of fixing it. However, I would recommend it as it kept him well entertained for quite a long time, he even took it to bed and played with it before falling asleep.

this toy looks nice and plays a nice tune. good quality looking. you have to turn the handle at a certain speed to make the tune sound as it should which is interesting for the children. good for fine motor skills. nice colours. mechanism is inside the tin so is protected from tampering. nice toy to have around.

This is a good little toy that encourages the child to enjoy music and also helps with manual dexterity through turning the handle round. To play the tune steadily, you have to turn the handle steadily. It reminds me a little of my childhood - I had something like this years ago (wow, that makes me sound old!).My one year old managed to learn to turn the handle within an hour or two and she sits there now turning it as fast as possible... I think she likes fast music!.....Recommended.
