Lowest in the series; not suited to long beards, 5 Feb. 2016

The BT5010 is the lowest of the 5 series of Braun Beard Trimmers. According to Braun's own product page, the dial allows a choice between 18 beard length settings, each at 0.5mm intervals and finishing at a reasonably long 10mm. However there are other suggestions on the packaging and elsewhere that 25 settings are available although that pertains to higher models rather than this.

Power is provided by two internal rechargeable batteries that need a full 8-hour charge time when run down although an initial charge will be longer, the normal 'conditioning' charge. A full charge will provide up to approximately 50 minutes of use, usually sufficient for a few weeks because, unless you want to maintain a specific length of stubble rather than a beard or moustache, you will not be using it daily or on alternate days. If used daily, 2-3 weeks' of use, perhaps. Unfortunately, there is no 'emergency charge' facility with this such that a few minutes on the mains will provide...

This beard trimmer from Braun arrived today and already I'm very impressed with it I have a far more expensive beard trimmer by Philips - which retails at around £170. This Braun model is equally as good but for a fraction of the price, which obviously provides excellent value for money. So why pay more? Its shape is slimline and very easy to handle, and using unplugged still provides excellent power. The trimming comb comes with an excellent feature - the ability to lock in place so that the comb doesn't slip into a shorter length while in use. The length selector wheel clicks into length settings comfortably, giving a reassuring locking sound as it fixes into position. Unless you manually change the length setting using the wheel, the comb length will not change. Also supplied in the retail packaging is a small bottle of blade oil, a tiny (but perfectly formed) cleaning brush and the comb attachment. The best beard trimmer I've had by a long long way ..., 28 Jan. 2016

I've had 3 beard trimming in the last two or three years. All of Which has beveloped a problem or had teething problems to start with. Iv had two remingtons and a Phillips all of which where more expensive and nothing of the quality of this. Very impressed the build quality is outstanding and it's very strate forward to oparate. The best beard trimmer I've had by a long long way and for that price!! I never Wright review usually but I was so impressed I felt others need to buy this also.
