This is a super alternative to canvas bouncing cradles in providing a safe place to put an awake, alert baby when mum or dad has to get on with things. Assembly is fairly straightforward, there are clear instructions provided, though once up you may well decide to leave it up as it is a bit fiddly. The swing doesn't take up too much floor space. I liked the fact that it was clear of the ground and placed baby out of draughts at floor level, with the body of the swing providing further protection.

A screwdriver is needed for assembly, though there are just four screws to attach. After a bit of a hunt through the packaging, we found the screws in a small plastic packet attached to one of the support bars of the swing. To activate the rocking motion and accompanying music of the swing you will also need 4 C type batteries. These are the round torch -type batteries.

The swing is lined with a padded, neutral beige and white fabric which is very soft and thankfully...

Compact and pretty, 19 Aug. 2014

Updated May 2015: My sister gave this back to me once my son was born in November 2014. I am updating because I have to say this chair has been amazing to have. Don't get me wrong it's a bit bulky and takes up a fair amount of space but I don't know how I would have got on without it. This has helped me out of th nights where my son refuses to sleep in his cot as he will sleep in this allowing me to get some sleep on the sofa. During the day it's a lifesaver as its where he has his first nap of the day and even when awake it allows me to get some housework done as he loves swinging in his chair. Another bonus to this is that my almost 3 year old daughter is quite small for her age and is only 24lbs and when her brother isn't sitting in it she loves to lol so it can hold up to a good weight and she finds the chair very comfy. Excellent quality and well worth the money in my opinion.

I gave this to my sister for my beautiful new nephew, I admit to it being amusing watching...

Cosy and fun., 29 July 2014

This is amazing, we have a very demanding 5 month old baby who protests very loudly as soon as she even begins to approach the floor!!

This chair has been a life saver - from the second we put her in she begin to cry as usual then as soon as it started swinging and the music played she stopped and listened - she looked surprised but just stopped crying - we thought she'd probably start up again once she got bored but she didn't get bored.

We managed to get in an amazing 40 mins of swinging time which allowed me to actually get some work done before she reminded me she's overdue for another cuddle! There is an auto shut off feature at various timed intervals should you wish.

Very lovely design, nice neutral colours - not too garish - you can change the swinging speed and the music and toys are a nice touch too. Great price for something that is literally life changing - to be able to put a very demanding child down for a little while into something they...
