This car seat is a fantastic compromise between the desire to keep children safer for longer through rear wards facing seats and recognising the cultural 'norm' of children facing forwards for socialisation or extra room for tall children or vigorous kickers!
However after trying this out at a recent Britax event, this is more than just a multidirectional model, it goes from birth to 18kg meaning you don't have to buy 2- 3 car seats across this weight group and the 360o access (second pic) is amazing for new mums especially those who may have had a Caesarian or indeed pregnant again mums or any parents or caregivers who have mobility issues.
The great thing about the dualfix is in comparison to other dual facing seats you don't have to reinstall the seat to change from rear to forward facing and for safety reasons you cannot spin it forward facing if in birth to 9kg mode (first pic).

The DUALFIX car seat is quite simply the best car seat we have ever used. It's a group 0+/group 1 car seat and can used both rearward and forward facing making it a great choice for newborns, toddlers and young children up to the age of 4 (or 18kg).
The car seat has an in-built ISOFIX feature which easily connects to the backseat of the car for maximum safety and has installation indicators that allow you to see if the car seat is installed correctly. This is a brilliant feature for peace of mind.
The best feature of the DUALFIX is that it has the ability to rotate 360° easily so that parents can switch between forward facing and rear facing easily without taking the car seat out of the car. I really like that the car seat has a grey safety button which must be pressed when changing between the group 0 and group 1 features. This prevents the car seat being used in the wrong group for the child.

A perfect car seat to allow your child to be safe and stay rear facing up until they are around 4yrs old. Having four children I have used many different car seats, but the DUALFIX has to be my most favourite. The DUALFIX has multiple recline positions, a height adjustable headrest and a five point harness which can be adjusted very easily one-handed. The seat is well padded, as well as fully padded side wings, chest pads and a belly pad, so you know your child will be comfortable and safe throughout their journey. The covers are easy to remove for washing and doesn't require the harness to be removed first. There is also a newborn insert provided which gives your newborn extra comfort and support.Being Isofix, it's a simple "click in" install, and make sure the leg support is in the correct position - the handy installation indicators will tell you when the seat is the correct position - and you are ready to go.
