Designed to grow with your child, 30 April 2013

This Britax seat was purchased because one of our grandchildren is approaching the need for a group 2 seat owing to his height. I have only tried it properly so far as a group 1 seat and as a group 1 it performs very well. The only negative is that the seat has to be removed to set it into the single recline position.

Just a few hours after the new seat arrived we put our tallest grandchild in the seat and he threw up ALL over it (and the car's back seat and carpets). The worst mess ever! So I had to completely remove the cover (quite easy) and even had to hose down the plastic shell of the seat to get it all out.

This was when I found out about one feature which is very good yet it has one slight drawback: the 5 point harness is not removed when it is not being used. When the seat is used as a group 2 or 3, the 5 point harness tucks away into a compartment at the bottom of the seat back so it can't get lost. The drawback with this is that cleaning off stomach...

Great option for kids of different ages, 10 Feb. 2014
I chose this car seat as I have 1 baby boy (1 year old) and a daughter 3.5 y, and i wanted something that can fit both age groups. I have another Britax with Isofix but that is only group 1 and my daughter out-grew that one.I initially wanted to buy a booster seat, but that didn't help with my baby boy.I got this seat and for the last month i have used it efficiently with both my daughter and my baby boy. For now they both use the 5 point seatbelt, but in a year probably i will change the configuration to the car seatbelt. It took some effort when i installed it in my little Honda jazz, but now is well anchored with the car seatbelt. The materials are really nice and the little pockets for cup holders are the delight of my daughter. The seat looks solid and i fell it offers the necessary protection for the kids.Cons - the fact you cannot recline the seat once is fixed, but i just keep it in the reclined position.

Secure and we'll made., 18 July 2015

Please note this review is based only on the initial seat configuration suitable for a 2 year old.

I got this seat to replace a rear facing one which half way through serving its second child became too and head to be replaced.

Safety is of paramount importance to me (surely if you are reading car seat reviews you too!) and the blanket rating of child car seats means that you sort of have to guess and take the manufacturers word over the relative benefits each design has.

I was drawn to this model due to the additional head safety elements and it's ability to grow with my child. The head rest is excellent and is snug enough to allow my child to fall asleep without getting the dreaded head slumps. The build quality is also very good.

Fitting the seat is fairly easy but gets trickier in a smaller the car due to the need to get directly in front of the seat pushing down with you knee on the seat to tighten the seatbelt to ensure a secure...
