The brother max milk powder dispenser is very well designed compared to other multi sectioned dispensers I've bought. I did ruin the first one I bought by steam sterilising it so if you do wish to sterilise this item the only method suitable would be cold water sterilisation. The only complaint is that the first one I bought was quite stiff to turn and you needed to learn the knack of doing it. However, the second one I purchased was fine. I found it much better than the phillips avent dispenser and also the boots own brand one.

Great idea but can be frustrating, 18 Jun. 2010

We used the Brother Max dispenser initially for making feeds during the night when our baby was newborn. It's great for keeping pre-measured amounts in so that you don't have to fiddle about with a scoop when you have a screaming baby to contend with. When you want to dispense then you turn the top to align the compartment with the opening before releasing the cap and pouring the powder into the bottle. You can fit 3 pre-measured amounts of milk powder in the dispenser so it's good if you're out all day. So far we've tried 6 scoops of powder in each compartment and I think you could probably fit 8 scoops. The dispenser comes with a funnel device so you can easily fill each compartment by removing the top. Negative points about the dispenser are that sometimes I can't get the cap off as it can get wedged on a little tight. I suppose it's better that it's too tight rather than risking it opening in your bag, however. I had a very frustrating time trying to open the dispenser...

Not really good, 18 Feb. 2015

I decided to go for this one based on the good reviews. Obviously everyone got different needs and different standards - as for me this dispensers is rubbish!The milk powder gets in between the main plastic bowl and the insert movable bowl with compartments, every time when opening the spout the formula gets on you hands/trousers/skirt...etc. The inside of the spout is constantly glued with the powder... Just not good at all.I think the simplest it is the better.I recommend other on Amazon- simple small plastic pots with a lid - open, pour, done!The Brother Max is just money down the drain...
