Well we have so many toys and 'stuff' for my daughter (15 mths old) that you wouldn't think there could possibly be anything else she could need, want or like! I was so so wrong!!
As soon as Benny arrived and was unpacked out of the box and the bag her eyes were drawn to him. She headed over to him and looked for my approval to pick up and play with him. She was fascinated at the face as it is big and bold and then she gave a big cuddle as so soft and squidgy! Then her attention moved to the handle and then the zip, spent time working out the zip and the handle and was highly excited that there was somewhere you could hide toys in or a snack!! She studied the clips and buckles but passed it to me to show her and help her so also really good as an interactive toy as well as something that she can play with on her own. I wish I had known about this product sooner. I have a nearly 3 year old and even though he loves this now it would have been perfect for him from 18 months old! Before I got this toy he was always busy unclicking anything in sight like his younger brothers bouncer buckles, his push chair buckles, high chair straps and anything else he can get his hands on.
He loves unclicking and clicking all the buckles on this bag over and over again. There are 10 in total and they are all different coloured, some you squeeze at the side to undo and others you push a circle or rectangle to undo them. I ask him to unfasten the 'red' buckle etc, which also makes playing educational.
It's super soft and can also act as a pillow or cuddly toy when out and about and the super soft handle makes it really easy for little ones to carry. I am a big fan of educational toys for children both young and old. They still manage to capture the imagination of children, but also help with mental and physical development.
Benny Lion is a great toy/bag. It is cuddly and soft and more importantly, does not have any sharp bits. I was a little concerned when ordering the toy, as it has a zipper and buckles, but the zip is large and rounded and the buckles are rounded too. There are ten buckles, with three different shapes. The straps are short enough that they do not present a risk of injury either. It is also easy to use. The zip zips up and down nicely and the buckles are easy enough to open and close. These features all help develop a child's motor skills and hand eye co-ordination. The numbers on the back, each with a different shape, are a nice feature to improve the cognitive skills when the child is older.
