Probably like everyone else who buys this (as well as the designer), our toddler loves buckles. This toy is great for that. She can do up all the buckles, and so far has figured out how to undo all of them except the standard two prong kind (she knows how to undo them, but isn't strong enough).One star less for two reasons: (1) zipper on the back is a little difficult. The top of the shell should be attached to the turtle's neck, rather than loose, in order to make unzipping a little more straightforward; and (2) the numbers are unnecessary and make the toy too busy looking. It would be perfectly good as just a turtle with buckles.But overall a great buy.

Purchase to occupy a 2 year old during a flight, and boy did it do just that!It was given whilst we were boarding and he played with it for ages, doing up the buckles and then I doing them again until we took off and he eventually was lulled to sleep on the plane.We sat next to a lady who had a child of a similar age and she was impressed and actually asked where we got it from...It's a simple concept, well made and great for improving skills. Our child is almost 4 and I still see him having ago at the buckles.

A resounding success!!, 19 Sept. 2015
After checking out the reviews on here I bought this for my 19 month old for his first flight. I was somewhat sceptical as to how interested he'd be but I needn't have worried. He sat for at least 30 minutes straight when I brought the turtle out of the bag. I needed to help him undo the buckles but he soon got going with doing them up. He even preferred this to the DVD player!!! There's lots to explore and keep a small person busy, definitely a good buy.
