Good idea but poor design/manufacturing, 13 Jan. 2011

I got a buggy boot for my Maclaren Volo. It took a while to adjust properly, nothing too difficult just time consuming and a little fiddley. Worked great for a while, the boot was great when shopping - baskets balanced nicely on top and the bag held quite a bit. Much better than hanging lots of bags on the handles and then having the buggy tip over.Unfortunately after a few months one of the stability bars broke during normal use - just came apart. Still can't see quite how. A quick call to the manufacturer got a replacement in the post in a few days. Quick and easy.Another few months later and one of the main arms connecting the board to the buggy sheared off at the buggy. As with the other failure this happened while about and about during normal use.I haven't tried to get it fixed or replaced as I no longer trust the product and will be looking for another buggy board.

the bag is no bonus when design is so poor, 15 Jun. 2011

I agree with other reviews, poor design and inferior to others on the market. Despite ensuring the arms were parallel and fixing the bolts tightly, the arms quickly worked to unparallel positions upon use. After adjusting again and on the SECOND day of normal use, the bolt came out and the arm dropped away creating a nightmare trip back from the shops. My leg had bruises from where the board hit against them. The board is heavy and whilst it states that it fits the Mamas and Papas pushchairs it is fine so long as no child is on it (!) as when my petite 3 year old stands on it, the buggy tips back so walking with it is tense as you work to ensure the front wheels keep to the ground. So I then went and purchased the BUGGYBOARD Maxi - FANTASTIC PRODUCT, lightweight materials, requires no tools to build, easy to assemble, secure and durable fixings. It is a VASTLY superior design and no bruises to the legs! I LOVE IT. The buggyboot was cheaper and had a bag for shopping, yet it was simply...

Poor quality components let a great idea down, 30 May 2013

I bought this buggyboot plus pushchair step before the birth of my 2nd child in 2010, hoping to use it to get my first child to Nursery easily and then go on to pick up a load of shopping using the large bag provided. The product looked good but was fiddly to attach and adjust, and didn't tighten up as much as I would have liked to my MacLaren Buggy, even though the literature said it should. It then collapsed while we were out and about and I found a nut on one side had given way, leaving me stranded with a very tired and heavy child to get home. I was so disappointed I just put it in a dark corner. Two years on we tried to revive it but it was unfixable, on investigation the threads of the bolt had completely sheared off so it just slipped though its nut. I tried to contact the company but no luck, seems it is not running any more? The bag IS great though! Strong enough to transport around 15 paperback books to a Car Bootsale easily, and folds down flat too...
