This is a lovely set which has delightful retro illustration that has bunnies running around the rims and reminds me of the china set I had when I was a young child.

This set was a quick purchase to replace a shattered Belle & Boo melamine bowl (pirate set) but I'm delighted with the quality of this set from Royal Doulton, the melamine is thick enough to stand the average toddler rambunctiousness (not that I would trust it to throw it on the floor purposefully!) but thin enough to look attractive and 'grown up'.

I especially like the taller cup which my daughter is delighted with as it looks more like an adults tea/coffee mug than the squat ones usually included in such sets.

The plate and bowls are of a decent size and depth meaning they can be used by young child, not just toddlers.

They aren't dishwasher safe, which is annoying, but it's not a massive chore to wash by hand, and it means the life of the melamine is extended- you can put them...

The online information states that the set is dishwasher proof.The Royal Doulton information on the box states that the set is"not recommended for dishwasher or microwave use"!!How wrong can you be?
