Nice stocking filler or 'tester' set, 9 Nov. 2015

I bought this to try out the different lip balms - this wasn't meant for a stocking filler but it would make a wonderful one - five lip balms in a cute package would be a welcome little gift for anyone who uses lip balms and looks for as natural a product as can be found.

Out of the five I only like two - I used disposable applicators to test and now my husband will happily use the three I don't like. Wild Cherry (smells and tastes better than ok, goes on very smoothly and lasts about 45 minutes before needing replenishment) and the pomegranate oil one (wow good fragrance and taste, wow! Also goes on smoothly and leaves a very faint bit of colour behind, it's fab and as long lasting as the Wild Cherry). Those are going straight onto the Subscribe And Save, as is the peppermint as my husband really likes it (a bit too 'bracing' for me, and it took about an hour for the stuff to really wear off despite the repeated wiping with make-up remover).

Lovely little lip set!, 9 Sept. 2015

This lovely set comes packaged in an attractive and sturdy cardboard tube, in festive colours of red and gold, with the addition of some metallic silver steamers and snowflakes. This makes it a lovely Christmas gift, secret Santa present or stocking filler, though it does mean of course that you can't give this set at other times of the year! The blurb says that you don't need to wrap it up, but personally I would seeing as the tube has a picture of what's inside on the back.

Inside the tube you get five (not six as the product listing says!) lip balms. I expected them to be held in place by some sort of insert, but they are just rattling around in there by themselves. This does save on packaging though, and each lip balm has a small seal around the lid for hygiene reasons.

The lip balms come in a nice variety of flavours, from the original beeswax (with vitamin e and peppermint) to the two classic flavours of honey and pomegranate, to the newer varieties of...

This gift set contains a very nice selection of five tubes of lip balm in different flavours.My two test subjects for these were well acquainted with the brand, having used hand and nail cream and a different lip balm by Burt's Bees a few months ago. Our testing was carried out over the space of a week. In the words of my principal tester; "the lip balms are fantastic! They seem to soothe and hydrate for ages after application so they are a constant companion in my hand bag, being someone who is constantly beset with cracked lips. My particular favourite flavour is coconut and pear with the pomegranate a close second. My daughter would favour the peppermint."My two testers were thoroughly delighted with these, especially since they are not only effective but are all natural products and of excellent quality.This will undoubtedly make a good stocking filler this Christmas, as the rather festive packaging clearly indicates.A clear 5 star winner.
