My son was born in September and I needed something cosy to wrap him up in while in the carseat, both in the car and on the travel system,without having to bundle him into his giant winter coat, as I've been told you are only supposed to use a thin coat on a baby while they are in a carseat. Anyway, I went for this one. Firstly it says on the packaging that you wash it before use, which is fine but be advised it takes a good while to dry as it is very thick. Then once you have got it in the carseat ( nice and easy thanks to only two large Velcro lined holes for the shoulder straps ) baby is ready to go in. Once in, their legs go into kind of slots of blanket and the first layer to cover babies body is pulled up, then you strap them in. There is another two layers of blanket which you wrap over from right and then left. If baby is asleep or very little you should have no trouble wrapping them up neatly and super warmly as they will lay still, however one of three small flaws I have...

As far as the little extras for baby that make life a bit easier, this is a must! We love it. Super warm so no need to struggle with a coat plus it's safer as coats shouldn't be worn in a car seat. Excellent product!

Great idea!, 17 Feb. 2015
Excellent idea for a product. My newborn is so comfy in this as we have it positioned like a foot muff in our twin buggy. This way newborn is perfectly swaddled in this cold weather and toddle can still look aroybd without being hindered. Great also for the car seat as no need for big bulky coat wheb transporting between house and car!!
