This convenient, over-the counter, reasonably priced product is described as helping to protect and heal skin irritations from incontinence, minor burns, scrapes, perspiration, diaper rash, wound drainage or feeding tube site leakage. Its makers state that it will temporarily relieve discomfort and itching of minor burns, cuts, scrapes or itching, while it provides a multiple purpose moisture barrier. It is for external use only. It contains some old faithful ingredients: soothing calamine; zinc oxide for skin protection or as an anorectal astringent; menthol for an anti-itch external analgesic, and lubricating lanolin.
