My expectations of this nail polish were high, and at first, I wasn't overly impressed. I thought it was no better than a regular nail polish, however, I take that thought back! It has lasted a week, and it IS shiny:) The only thing is, it kind of wears off the top of the nails, or it could be that my nails were just growing. I needed to apply 2 coats for a smooth effect, and next time, I will apply a top coat. It dries very quickly and is a good quality nail polish. The service was really good from the seller, as well. I chose the 'Hollywood' shade, which is a deep red colour, very rich and glossy. I have bought a pink one too,as over all, it's a relatively good performer, compared to other ones I've tried. Doesn't damage the nails either, in my experience. I was delighted with the product, and can safely recommend it to others, though we all have different ideas of what is good. I'm hard to please, and i consider this nail varnish to be worth a try:)I've never tried the Shellac...
