Bought this on the basis of some reasonable ratings but was not impressed. The two metal spkes are weak and bent out of shape on first use, driving into soft pretty stone free ground, they clearly wont last. The hooks on the spikes are not brilliant either in that it is quite easy for the strap to detach itself especially if you lean the spikes away from the awning at an angle for more secure hold. I also found the double D loop buckle insecure. It loosened in a strong gusty wind and it looks inadequate and weak. It also draws the strap in so it bunches up rather than lying flat. Only one spring where it would clearly be better if there was a spring either end. All in all very disappointing, I sent it straight back after one night's use.

Purchased but never used as the current one had a ratchet strap which was a lot more secure ,this did not look as strong and due to the fact that the awning is up for the season a couple of hours away I did not feel comfortable trusting this unattended for days .
