Chicco Polly Swing Up - Red Wave is available in Nappy Backpacks

Chicco Polly Swing Up is suitable from birth up to 9kgs or until the child can sit up unaided, ideal for use indoors or outdoors. The structure has been designed to allow them to play and relax in a raised position, both indoors and out. The four-speed motorised rocking motion swing has a remote control handset so parents can control the rocking motion from a distance and also start the tunes and nature sounds; it even has a heartbeat sound option which reminds babies of their prenatal time. The special ergonomic shaped booster cushion with an integrated wedge ensures newborns are lying in the correct position; it also has a double layer of padding to provide a snug fit for the head. The cushion can be adjusted to two different heights to adapt to a babys growth, and the booster can be removed completely when more room is needed. The seat includes a removable tray with an integrated rigid crotch bar for added safety, complementing the 5 point harness.

Nice looking, but basic issues so had to return, 31 May 2014

Product as described. Unhelpful instructions but intuitive / quick to put together.

Really liked the look and the ability to swing plus vibrate. Unfortunately, despite new batteries and testing with a weight that doesn't move (given instructions state safety switch may kick in if child moves) the unit would simply switch off after random lengths of time, which theoretically isn't a bad thing as you're in the room but as the speed changed if you didn't notice baby would wake with the change and it rather defeated the purpose - particularly frustrating if trying to get 5 minutes rest.

In addition, I then noticed it would start (I don't believe it stopped - tested a few ways) when the TV remote was used or even my mobile (as I've an s5 which I'd loaded a TV remote app on) it would switch on. Arguably a minor irritant (you could cover it up), but for £100 (and being sleep deprived and with toddler too) I expected more and it was enough for me to return it...

Great baby swing! My little one (three weeks old) loves it he sleeps soundly in it, the seat looks very comfy and baby is supported and safe, I brought this to replace a cheap bouncer I'd been given as a gift as it didn't support him and his head would rest in his chest, this is not a problem with the Chicco Polly Swing up. The swinging motion isn't too noisy, just becomes background noise, and baby loves the vibrating seat, the heartbeat sound is such a lovely idea and really settles my baby. Only downsides are that the music keeps randomly coming on! (Freaky!) and also it takes a lot of battery's! It takes 4 C battery's for the music and swinging action, a D battery for the vibration (which doesn't last long I've already changed it once after about 4 days) and AAA batteries for the remote.

Although quite expensive, this does keep my daughter amuses for 30 mins while I get some jobs done. Sometimes she falls asleep in it too in the day if she has been fighting her sleep. It does have an annoying click but I think you get used to it and don't notice it after a while. Also, sometims it randomly plays music so we have to take to batteries out and put back in. It does look the part though and she likes it for something to do once or twice a day!
