My Grandson was six months old when I bought this so that he had a firm and stable seat when he came to visit. The bean bag chair has a high back rest, arms and a deep seat. All that means that a small child sitting in this is fully supported in a very comfortable manner. I believe that this bean bag 'chair' is excellent value although it is a mite expensive give that a child will out grow it within a few years. My only problem that some of the stitching had become undone leading to some of the internal 'beans' spilling out as soon as it was removed for the packaging.
